The Asia Adventure Sport Team
Our team continues to grow and develop through training within our teams and professional outdoor communities. Facilitators have a variety of skills and certifications, with a minimum First Aid and WFA with CPR certification for any program. Many of our facilitators are certified lifeguards, outdoor instructors, and water rescue technicians. We also provide staff training for all team members on child protection/safeguarding and risk management.

DIRECTOR / HEAD OF MULTI-SPORT
Adam is the Head of AAS, combing his 19+ years of sports coaching experience, in the UK, USA and Hong Kong, his local knowledge and coaching a wide range of sports to children aged as young as 18 months old through to adults. Adam has gained valuable experience over the years working in different companies and is looking to build on that to give every student the very best.

HEAD OF OUTDOOR SPORTS
El has over 10 years experience in the outdoor industry, working in the UK, Oman, UAE, Iceland, France and HK. El is qualified in a range of adventure activitys included coaching paddlesports and climbing. They are passionate in sharing their knowledge and love for the outdoors. In their free time El enjoys exploring, finding new adventures and training with a dragon boat and outrigger team.

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
From starting in the UK, then diverse places such as European Alps and Pyrenees to Saudi Arabia and Oman and lately Hong Kong and Mainland China, Mike’s travels have been about exploring, developing, and growing, for himself and the people he meets along the way. His background includes qualifications in IT, psychology, physiology, economics as well as a stint teaching. Recently (relatively!) Mike has been specialising in Emotional Intelligence and blending into Experiential Adventure. In his spare time, Mike enjoys spending time with his two young dogs and finding new ways to challenge himself.

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
Ankit Singh is an accomplished outdoor educator and adventure activities instructor with extensive expertise of 8 years in adventure leadership and training. He has led dynamic activities—including coasteering, canyoning, rock climbing, abseiling, kayaking, and orienteering—for youth and adult groups across India and Hong Kong & China. His experience spans supervising adventure setups on cruise ships, managing field trips and nature programs, and conducting fitness classes and outdoor skills workshops for all ages.

HEAD OF BASKETBALL
Coach Gio was a late bloomer, first picking up basketball at age 16. Through hard-work and effort, he was able to play at the NCAA Division 2 and 3 levels, as well as playing professionally for the Staten Island Vipers of the American Basketball Association. Since moving to Hong Kong, Coach Gio has trained with numerous professional Division 1 teams such as Fukien, C2, Team Eagle, and Eastern, to name a few. Coach Gio has developed a coaching style and philosophy based on tough discipline and critical thinking, rather than rigid memorization and execution.

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
My name is Flynn, and I was born and raised in Hong Kong. I have a strong passion for the outdoors, especially learning about and working with snakes, and I enjoy sharing this interest with others. I have also been actively involved in running and supporting forest school programs, helping young people connect with nature through hands-on experiences.

Hi, I’m Harsh — an outdoor professional whose journey began in the Indian Himalayas. Since stepping into the world of outdoor education and adventure guiding, I’ve had the opportunity to work across the globe — from the high peaks of India to programs in the USA, Australia, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
Jacques has worked with other outdoor adventures around Hong Kong and is a certified scuba diver with a PADI Advanced Open Water certification, first aid training and has completed Level 1-2 sailing training. In his free time he enjoys outdoor photography, exploring on his paddle board and cycling around Hong Kong.

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
My name is John, and I am originally from the UK but have been living in Hong Kong for over six years. With a background in product design and a lifelong passion for the outdoors, I enjoy activities such as kayaking, climbing, scrambling, and mountain biking. Since moving here, I have worked as a freelance outdoor education assistant as well as a sea kayak instructor and guide, and I am an ACA-qualified sea kayak instructor.

My professional journey commenced in South Africa where I served as an outdoor facilitator. Subsequently, I transitioned into roles of increasing responsibility. This was followed by assignments in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Maya is an experienced outdoor Guide, having guided multi-day hiking and adventure trips with New Zealand Trails for multiple seasons. She also has six years’ experience on dolphin & wildlife boat cruises in NZ, guiding school groups in kayaking and snorkeling. Maya has a strong background in competitive sports—including football, horse riding, orienteering, and cross-country. She holds the Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award, including extensive training in Outdoor safety, First Aid, and PADI Open Water certifications.

Oliver is an expedition leader and outdoor educator who has led programs across Asia, Africa, Europe and Australia. With over four years of experience and qualifications in kayaking, hiking, wilderness medicine and risk management, he is passionate about delivering programs that truly make a difference. He also has a very cute cat!

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
My name is Rahul, and I am an experienced outdoor educator with over eight years of leading programs in adventure, cultural immersion, sustainability, and experiential learning. A certified mountaineer, trip leader, and wilderness first responder, I have worked across the United States, South America, India, Nepal, Africa, and Southeast Asia. I enjoy climbing, running, and writing, and I am currently on a quest to climb the highest mountain on each continent and ski to both poles.

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
Remi grew up in New Zealand’s wild landscapes, immersed in climbing, kayaking, and coastal adventures. At 17, he set off solo through Asia, deepening his love for exploration, wildlife, and the outdoors. Now in his third season with Asia Adventure Sport, Remi brings boundless energy and enthusiasm to every camp, inspiring students to connect with nature and challenge themselves.

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Sam has over 8 years of experience working with kids across a wide range of sports and outdoor activities. He has developed a strong passion for creating fun, safe, and engaging environments where young people can learn new skills and build confidence. Sam is also a qualified coach in football, basketball, rugby, and basic mermaiding, bringing both versatility and enthusiasm to every session he leads.

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
My name is Sam, and I am an instructor passionate about sharing the outdoors with those who may not yet have had the opportunity to explore it. From hiking Hong Kong’s green mountains to paddling its waterways and observing marine life, I believe that appreciating and protecting our environment benefits both individuals and the community. I am a qualified RYA Dinghy, Powerboat, and Safety Boat Instructor.

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
My name is Soel, and I am originally from Yogyakarta, Indonesia. With over 25 years in the outdoor industry, I have worked across Southeast Asia, China, and the US in youth leadership development and experiential education. I am also a founder of the Experiential Learning Association of Indonesia and bring extensive experience and sound judgment in safety to every trip I lead.

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
With 16+ years in outdoor education, Suman specializes in using adventure as a tool for growth. As a seasoned mountaineer and ACA Certified Kayak Instructor (Level 1 & 2), he blend technical expertise with a Diploma in Experiential Learning to create powerful, hands-on educational experiences. A dedicated Play for Peace practitioner committed to fostering inclusive, compassionate communities in the outdoors.

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
Wisdom is a dedicated instructor from Ghana with over four years of experience leading programs across Ghana, Hong Kong, and China. An avid outdoorsman, he spends his leisure hours hiking mountain trails, navigating waterways by kayak, and coasteering along dramatic coastlines. His commitment to personal growth through adventure shapes every lesson he leads. His guiding principle: “Explore with purpose, teach with passion.”

My name is Arul, and I have three years of experience working in outdoor education across India, Hong Kong, and China. I am passionate about helping people connect with nature through meaningful activities and challenges. I enjoy creating opportunities for learning and growth in the outdoors.

My name is Sam, and I am an outdoor education instructor passionate about helping the younger generation build confidence and explore who they are through the outdoors. I believe that outdoor education gives us all the chance to better appreciate the beautiful place that is Hong Kong. I have experience in sailing, climbing, scuba diving, and bushcraft.

Paddy was raised in an outdoor-loving family and has been working in the industry for over 11 years across Zimbabwe, South Africa, and Hong Kong. He is passionate about water sports, climbing, and camping, and enjoys sharing these experiences with others. His background and enthusiasm make him a valuable part of any outdoor program.

With over 10 years of facilitation and guiding experience in the outdoor education industry, Jessica has worked across the UK, Spain, Australia, Croatia, the UAE, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, China, and Hong Kong. She is passionate about creating meaningful outdoor experiences that inspire growth, connection, and adventure.

SENIOR OUTDOOR INSTRUCTOR
RJ has 10 years of experience working with students, including 8 years in the outdoor education field. He has facilitated camps across Hong Kong, China, South Korea, Costa Rica, Australia, the UAE, Switzerland, Ghana, and Kenya. His international experience and passion for outdoor learning help create engaging and memorable programs for participants of all ages.
